Plitvice Lakes National Park
Plitvice Lakes are the first (1949) and the most visited Croatian national park. The reason for that you can find yourself walking the paths through beautiful dense forests of mountain beech spread around 16 crystal blue-green lakes, from the smallest “Novakovića Brod” to the biggest lake “Kozjak”. Take a break on the spot where the creek Plitvice cascades from an 80 m high rock thus making the highest waterfall in Croatia and enjoy the warble of one of the 157 bird species which have their habitat in the park area. Plitvice are beautiful all year round, but the winter scenes of this ice kingdom of beauty will leave you breathless. After the tour around the park experienced tourist workers will surprise you with the richness of gastronomic offer and pleasant accommodation in places Plitvicka Jezera, Rakovica, Dreznik Grad and Korenica.
